![]() They met while Mark was a cross-country and MTB marathon racer in his early 20s. Now can I use Maya LT to create 3d meshes and texture settings etc and export to unity, then export from unity to a 3d package like Vue at a later date and render hires versions as well as use Maya Lt content live in Unity etc (or Ce3)? Is this against the license? Is the unlimited export to unity only to unity and can not be moved back out to any other package.Jenni King and Mark Tupalski live in Australia and go way back. The fact I can try it for free and learn it before I make commercial work also is superb work by Autodesk and hassle free. Maya Lt is still a bargain to rent to create 3d content in for export to games engines. In the meantime I am making full use of poser and Vue having been a bit shocked at the prices of lightwave, max and a few others to buy. ![]() ![]() Playback in Unity and capping realtime on a video capture app would work rather well. Thanks, the unlimited export to games engines makes Maya LT of intrest again as using games engines to render and cap' in realtime to make cutscenes is a viable option. If you're a student, the best way to go for learning is the free, 3-year student licenses (Cheers! The UI and workflows are quite different between Maya and 3ds Max. I'm not sure how applicable the learning is to 3ds Max, though. And yeah, Maya LT imports MA, MB, OBJ, FBX, but not 3DS.įor learning Maya, Maya LT can be a fantastic alternative. It's unlimited with Send to Unity and also unlimited with Send to Unreal, which was just added in the Extension 2 release September 10th. The export limit in OBJ or FBX is 65,000 quads / 130,000 triangles. ![]() ![]() First, I wish I could "thumbs up" posts here or something, it would make comfirming stuff easier on here! But thank you Zally for helping out, you're pretty much right on. ![]()
